MC is esper, ML is a guide. MC doesn’t get affected by reverse guding so ML wants to use him for his plans. They signed a deal for ML to help out MC financially because of his family situation, so that’s what he gets. Also ML is able to amplify MC powers so that’s how he’ll use him as his esper
