They both don't love each other this is codependency They lean on each other for everything and they can't separate from each other. It's a f***** up situation. But I will say he's more to blame because he started to resent her. And she's not really to blame for her situation.
fair remark although i truly believe they were each other's first love although that doesn't disregard their codependency which also is valid considering their fucked up childhoods
what pisses me off in particular tho is the 180 in character i like to believe ppl have principles and morals they stand by even when times get rough and he genuinely seemed like a ride or die to her now obviously things can change over time and resentment is a good argument for the massive shift as well but considering the fact he still thinks of them as a unit maybe even some type of family in present timing makes me want to punch a whole through his idiotic face
like how fucking oblivious can one be to their wrong doings? ik he is probably the extreme but even irl i don't get how someone can change so drastically its wild and infuriating how a person can become almost unrecognisable in an instant
their facade cracks their principles vanish and everything they built together feels like it can be thrown away almost as if their past self never existed that kind of transformation is hard to process especially when the person still acts like nothing went wrong
