Bless your soul for saying this cause I am so tired of people here arguing or hating others for taking sides. This shouldn’t be about who’s the endgame or who do you like or hate. There’s so much depth in this story that people are trying to ignore for their own unnecessary thoughts. Those three characters have their own faults none of them are perfect. Stop hating on a characters because you’re not getting what you want, instead read the story and enjoy this masterpiece
i just hate that this masterpiece has a lot of readers who understand the story below the surface. it’s not just about who will be ian’s endgame is, both the main leads and the main character has flaws. like tj, his character has always been selfish, always looking for power because without it he feels useless and “nothing”. this flaw is so toxic that he wishes to drag ian down with him to share in the emptiness he feels, since ian is someone he has shared a bond with for more than half his life.
they both experienced the worst, but for ian, those experiences had such a negative impact that he no longer wanted to be trapped in the same cycle, he’s already losing himself. ian was tired from everything, so he tried to run away. tj, on the other hand kept wanting for more, he believes that the power he’s been desiring from the start is in the grasp of his hand, but what happened? 20 years has already passed. there’s no way their relationship can be salvaged anymore, the facts are right in our face. the scars they both inflicted to each other are too deep to heal, no matter what they do. this conversation from this chapter between ian and tj should’ve happened years ago. i am just so proud of ian for finally standing up for himself, and i genuinely hope he gets what his heart truly wants.
