Well yes, but it wasn’t so bad before JK’s aggression towards Dan. And it sounds like JK’s downplaying his role – considering he hasn’t even apologized yet or explained himself to Dan. Oh and he haven’t even realized full scale of trauma (Dan was virgin when they met and did not want to engage like that)
It was a mutual agreement in the beginning that they would be sexual. Dan wanted money and jaekyung needed someone for his jinx. But jae is now trying to make up for the things hes done, or at least help dan
I wouldn’t say it was mutual agreement at first and in many aspects.
Jeakyung was Dan’s client that Dan was desperate to keep – because of good salary, because he couldn't find a job in his field (since the harassment accident) and because he needed money for his grandmother. Well, Jeakyung didn’t know yes but he would not have cared either way.
The first “night together” Jeakyung smushed his partner’s head and threatened him right in front of Dan. Before that Dan had seen and heard about uncontrollable aggression from Jeakyung – a MMA champion.
And Jeakyung promised 5k dollars to Dan BEFORE he said that he wanted sex and not regular treatment. Dan was desperate and didn’t have time to normally consider the offer (in the shower he thought of running away BUT he was SCARED of being beaten).
Then Dan TOLD Jeakyung that he doesn’t want to. Jeakyung was furious and he forced Dan to engage in rough (!!) sex. Mind you, Dan NEVER CONSENTED to most shit Jeakyung pulled (yes, you need to ask your partner’s consent to being rough, to sex in public etc PRIOR. EVEN if you paid your partner. And no, ‘I’ll have you anyway I want in any time or place I want’ is NOT a consent really).
Dan deserves at least acknowledgement and an apology. But Jeakyung is a rapist in the end of the day. So hearing him downplay his role in Dan’s trauma while wishing to have decent relationship with Dan is selfish and pathetic
And I meant that JK broke their relationship not even by rape or prostituting Dan but when Jeakyung lashed out at Dan for a gift or when the JK’s leg was injured and he thought Dan’s a traitor. Like… they were living together for quite awhile. THAT’S shows how Jeakyung’s self-centered and stupid. He didn’t even spared a moment to think ‘would Dan do this? Is he capable of it?’ HE HAD TO BE TOLD
