At this point BL is about 80% rape or dubcon.

I don't know the statistics about rape in East Asia, but the few YouTube videos I've seen of interviews with dating in East Asia, people always mentioned how pushy the men are. I also know that their culture expects you to say no the first time for any aspect whether it be sexual or just somebody offering tea. So my best guess is, that plays a big part in the depiction of consent in manga.
Yes rape/sexual violence is very prevalent in fictional stories right now more so in korea. The U.S had their popularity of it back in the early 2000s. Not sure if anyone here knows of Bridgerton but the Netflix show is different from the actual novels because it was written with a lot of sexual violence. It was what was in demand at the time. We can only hope they move past this trend like everything else
