Gaeul was an honor student type in high school and had a little trading of messages with subin (crying guy) and subin develops feelings for her, she too liked him, but subins queen bee female friend who liked him and always sabotaged his relationshipd for a chance of her own did not like this and relentlessly bullied gaeul. subins other friend was involved (who i tjink liked the queen bee) and they also told gaeul subin was part of this, he was pretending etc. Gaeuls friend from the other school tries to protect her and gets targeted by the bully, (i think she khs i dont remember) afterwards in uni gaeul who is more confident about herself and changed herself to be less shy crosses paths w subin and immediately recognizes him. She wants to get revenhe as he couldnt recognize her and starts getting closer to him for this reason. Queen bee gets wind of subin being close w gaeul again and tries to sabotage, which goes very badly for herself. Gaeul leaves for studying abroad basically ghosting subin. she finds out the truth but she had selfish reasons to get closer to him which made having a good relation kinda impossible and she might blame him. And in the squel gaeul is back to work in the vountry meets subin due to work and they are in a weird fwb but less than friends relationship
