This is exactly what I've been complaining about with Jinx. As story it should be pretty good (not great but good) instead the story lacks any depth or train of thought. What you said about Jaekyung never truly stating his feelings before this moment is why I'm so aggravated with this story. It at least let the man have a few panels glancing at Dan (without it being sexual), doing little things like brushing his hair out his face, after care from sex.
Hell just spending quality time, that moment when Jaekyung was watching tv back in season 1 would have been a good moment or when he was playing board games but instead everything kept going back to meaningless sex.

what frustrates me the most about this story isnt even jaekyung being an asshole, because I’m totally open to forgiving shitty mls (lol), but here everything is just straight up BAD WRITING. it’s gorgeous art being wasted on a trash narrative. nothing makes sense. jaekyung’s redemption arc was totally BORING, chapters dragging just to show a basic childhood trauma that honestly doesn’t justify his behavior at all. then out of absolute nowhere he suddenly realizes he likes kim dan? WHY would he like kim dan? jaekyung was never in denial, no matter how much the author tried to make it seem like that in the last chapter. there was never any hint of him rejecting his own feelings for dan before, because he literally never cared in the first place. I’m not even saying this based on my interpretation of him, I’m saying it based on the actual narrative. there was NEVER a panel, a line, a single piece of writing that showed him being conflicted about feelings for dan. it was the opposite actually, he was always totally fine with rejecting >dan< and leaving him behind. just like it makes zero sense for dan to like jaekyung. ugh i’s all just weird and off. and don’t even get me started on how the author completely forgot that dan was abused by his professor, like???? she only threw that in to emphasize how disgusted and traumatized he was by jaekyung rapes but then suddenly SEX is the reason he starts “falling” for his abuser? and again: no sign of this being dependency or manipulation, nothing. dan just genuinely started enjoying the sex and that magically turned into affection somehow. like what??? thats just bad writing. in the end, this manhwa isn’t bad because of the violence, it’s bad because EVERYTHING is written poorly. no sequential logic, a forced and unconvincing attempt at complex characters, a super weak “villain” backstory, everything weak. jesus.
