Because finding out that someone you love saw you sexually assaulted and thought “ah I should assault them too! And then neglect them and make them feel like death is a mercy and they’re living in hell right now!” And only regret it when you’re holding a gun to yourself… that’s horrific and something you have to process. It’s not something you can brush off as a past experience. That was his reality and the fact that this bonding and knotting was also forced onto him rather than agreed upon, it just reinforces the idea that ML hasn’t changed as much as he thinks he did. MC needs to figure out if he’s okay with any of this shit in this life let alone the stuff in the past life and if he can truly put it in the past and keep it there because if he can’t, they can’t be in a healthy relationship and he knows that he is capable of suicide now so he probably wouldn’t hesitate to do it again. He needs this break. They both do.

Totally understandable but those are wounds from a past life while the ML’a actions were influenced by the past life - that’s not the same as holding the other person responsible for a completely different time line situation that hasn’t happened in this one. I dunno that’s just my personal way of thinking
You can't separate them because Ido is the same person. If he didnt remember his first life from the beginning and it came like it did for Sejin, yeah maybe you could say that. But the difference is he knew and nevertheless, it was Ido who did it. Also it's not like the wounds "stayed" in the past. Sejin had nightmares EVERY NIGHT. It very much affected his current life.
Furthermore, it doesnt matter whether it was an alternative time line or not. Sejin has the right to take a break or watever he wants. It's not to mentally affect Ido. It's to heal Sejin. Who gives a f about Ido now? It's all about Sejin and his mental health. Maybe this break would help him with his lack of communication. That's why its needed
I know they will get together in the e d but why separate like that. If the goal is to mentally affect the ML mission accomplished. I’m not going to turn a blind eye and omit the MC from being part of the problem with his lack of communication both times….
