They really did tone down the heaviness of the story. MC was so scared in every skinship scene with the ML so I was surprise how mellow it turned out in the manhwa. It's like every uncomfortable scene became comedic or something.

Idk if you saw the topic I posted under here but it really doesn’t get better. The authors uses the last 2 chapters to try and gaslight the audience into wanting these two together but it doesn’t work. The MC and ML end up together and the ML is still a disgusting piece of shit. The author uses the “rape victim enjoyed the rape” logic to make the MC think he’s actually in love with the ML, and then the ML “lets him go” for one day and then comes back to bother him into being with him.

Is the story improves? I was reading the novel. But it seemed so toxic I held from reading any further. One more thing I noticed in the manhwa the whole toxicity, uke's expression toned down like its natural to be molested, raped and others expression. But not it the novel, there uke really felt a hell uncomfortableness and it grew in next chapters.
