Just go re read the story. He believes in the loop because the coin is proof. That's it. Theres nothing more to it. And once the loop restarts he doesn't need to do anything, so theres no need to remember anything either. He just trapped the MC in the loop for revenge bc why not try ? And the coin proved that the MC's mother didn't lie.
