In the novel, Etienne and Rishar are in good terms. Rishar is a real green flag. Sometimes they argue but because Etienne didn’t take good care of himself. Ben was never hurt by the empress and there was no perfume story. It’s difficult to resume but Etienne is a brillant strategist and manage to return the situation in his favor. Rishar is very supporting and even the emperor realized all his mistakes and make amend by apologizing and helping Etienne. Antoine (the little red haired omega) is a great guy and a brillant strategist who will help Etienne and Rishar and become a good friend of them. Theodore is a real trash and a villain , just like the empress.

There is no. That's why I said it’s too different. In the novel there is indeed a talk about engagment between Antoine and Etienne but it’s to avoid the empress suspicion. Antoine and Etienne talked about it and none of them want to marry each other. Antoine want to become a military strategist and suffer to be treated like a precious doll, because he is omega. He’s a good guy who would become a great ally. In the novel Antoine is the one who help Etienne to realize he loves Rishar (real love, not just sex due to the pheromones). But Etienne and Rishar must hide their love to avoid the empress eyes. There is no misunderstanding between the two. Rishar is a little overprotective but really respect Etienne. Theodore is a pure bastard and a total villain.
In fact I stopped reading it when Ben was abducted and all the perfume arc because it’s totally inexistant in the novel. And when sometimes I read one chapter to see, it looks like a total different story to me...
Too different from the novel. I pass. The novel is really good, it’s a pity to see it so wasted...
