Never heard of character development huh?
there are better ways to have character development in a story and not this one where a group of teenagers try to visit a dungeon that became a battle war against war criminals and because of plot armor they will win.
I honestly expected more the blue guy to have the development he needs in skills and character, but no just near death experience. I meant near because guess what he will lived. Then I'm betting my money that he will have the improvement after this arc. Maybe after being healed, forced to be trained by his father, just miraculous type shit.

Just move on, Iike this arc has no bearing to the lore of the world itself. It's just another power science based magic for Shirone, which is sound (clearly about something of the wavelengths)
Like what after this arc it's gonna be about space magic then time itself.
