Bum rejected Sangwoo because he had just had a traumatic near-death situation. Would you be up for sex with someone who terrifies you, if you'd just survived a suicide attempt? And he didn't say Sangwoo was better because that would be a lie. Bum's being distant and lethargic because he's completely exhausted (physically and psychologically) and he doesn't want to be alive anymore.
Sangwoo is a sociopath, and he doesn't actually care about Bum for Bum's sake. Sangwoo is driven by self-interest, and he felt that it was in his interest to keep Bum alive.
I think you are misunderstanding this webtoon. This is not a love story. It's not romantic. You can say that fiction does not equal reality, but I don't think that's relevant when this comic isn't trying to be romantic in the first place.
