Okay, after reading the chapters... :( Why is his own mother calling him a disgrace? I was literally calling her out, how did you become pregnant tho? It takes two to tango, did the King sexually assault her? Was it coercion? If it was mutually consensual, why are both mad at the baby and NOT their own grown ahhhh adults' actions/consequences?
I thought his mother was more cunning, used her tactics, and finally witnessed her own son take the throne before passing away. Nope. Looks like she just wanted to be gone already early on. Mannnn, the mental fortitude of the ML once he witnessed the MC's kindness must have hit like a warm embrace from an Angel before entering Heaven.

Oh boy, the middle child was a bully to the ML. Maybe he is the one who got his eye ripped apart as a child by the young ML and eventually committed suicide as an adult? (The early chapters show a guy hanging on the ceiling before the ML becomes King). And lowkey side-eyeing the eldest son, you were a bystander to the treatment of the youngest and even coddling it cutely with the middle son. Hmm...if you were so great in your moral standings and intelligence, maybe some sneak acts of kindness would have gone a long way for your youngest brother.
Side note: The second son's mother (the concubine out of wed lock)...her features look a little too modern for me, look at her lips and pointy nose. Excuse me if I'm wrong, wouldn't those big lips be seen as unattractive during that period?
