That is his REDEMPTION arc. Because of him women are being SOLD as slaves and there are very few women left in Egypt. Im gonna give you a second to realize that in that stage of "godhood" seth was NOT thinking like a human so you cant say "god or not anyone would've went crazy" cause thoes emotions were literally beneath him (stated in a previous chapter after being cursed and "exiled" from being a God until he repents that he finally understood how humans felt) until he learned abt anubis not being his son ans him getting raped by osiris. Like the gods are LITERALLY made to do their job so him protecting Egypt is literally what he was built and made to do, being a god of war and desert as thats what happens when you transcend to being a God, you leave *most* of those emotions. Its another reason why Horus refuses to give up his memories.
