No, I don't think there's a missing chapter but I think some of the translations are a little rough and leave out a lot of detail from the raws.
I don’t think it’s ever outright said, but it’s pretty clear they’re getting closer and basically exclusive. It’s that kind of quiet, unspoken thing, y’know? Especially considering the time period where being gay was treated like a disease and women were expected to only care about some dude’s junk and his nobility. So it makes sense that their relationship wouldn’t be obvious to anyone else. It’s something just they understand.
I don’t think they’ve actually confessed to each other yet, but it’s obvious they both feel the same—they’re just figuring themselves and their world out one day at a time.
