this is a super unexpected turn

i thought the author was all ponies and rainbows so i'm surprised she's going this dark and really highlighting how insane ML is - it's definitely meant to be uncomfortable and she's not trying to shy away from how violating it is (like rian clearly not enjoying it and bieng in pain). so i'm intrigued by how much character growth there will need to be (and enzo is probably going to have to learn something about what it means to love someone lol) to be fair enzo was the person who manipulated a kind of poor person and then bit off his tongue so...yea.
