In chp 31, it is stated the MC pov that his mother was a maid that been thrown out of a palace until she gave birth to him. Knowing she giving birth to a King's son, she were allowed to return to the palace as a concubine. That is until both of them being punish and segregate by the Queen and all the workers for her background. Because she were a maid before. which mean she came from lower class family or peasant they call it.

Such a very sad and helpless thought for a 4 year old kid. Having parents and father but treated like an orphan peasent. His born to the world unwelcome just because he is a son of a maid. Even the mother shameful of him due to his status which none of his have control about. The whole social status in this story is so frustrating due to how stupid it was to put a blame and judgement to a innocent kid.
