ian’s friend (i forgot his name) hosts the parties and its only attended by the elite so its a huge deal if u get invited. anyways they go to the party and only madeline gets called to meet ian’s friend (but its actually to meet ian instead) and leaves enzo which made him REALLY embarrassed bc he thought he was invited bc he was finally being recognized but it was actually bc he’s connected to madeline. that bruised his ego real bad and we already know how prideful he is so he just ditches her at the party

i mean it kinda lets on that he cares more abt his pride than whatever feelings he has for her. not saying he’s unforgivable but definitely not someone to root for as a second love interest
