You missed the point entirely lmfao. I’m not the one begging for certain couples only and neither am I complaining about seeing certain couples. The people below are whining about not seeing what they want. But I do think it’s funny how out of everything I said in the first half of my comment, the one thing you wanted to talk about was the sex part. I guess that’s what drew you in the most

And also you lack some reading comprehension. Here’s the quote I said, “Just further establishes why OTHER READERS think BL readers are just gooners that can’t handle anything else about plots but relationships and sex.” I didn’t say yall were gooners, you took it that way and wanted to be offended. I said readers outside of BL readers, think of BL readers as gooners. Why do you think the straight story readers hate the BL readers and have that image of them?

Readers complaining that they can’t see the main characters of the story…seems pretty reasonable to me. I’m not saying you can’t like the second couple, but it’s completely understandable if people prefer the main couple, after all, they’re the main couple. If anything, you sound like you were offended first to complain about this in the first place.
You also said it “further establishes” why people think of BL readers as gooners, implying you think that this is one of the reasons why. I’m not offended, I think there are reasons why people think of BL readers as gooners, but this isn’t one of them. If a straight story suddenly switched POVs to a second couple, a bunch of readers would 100% be annoyed. This isn’t unique to BL readers

You still missed the point. Nowhere did I say it’s wrong to like the main couple. I pointed out that it’s annoying as hell seeing people whine about not seeing the main couple or seeing the second couple. To you, you think it’s reasonable to see people complain, to me it’s annoying when the comment section is full of it.
Like you stated it’s ONE CHAPTER of the second couple. Can you not see how insane it is that people lack so much patience that they can’t handle anything else for one chapter?? And no not la bunch of reader would be annoyed”, there’s other fandoms of several stories where the readers are chill and can read more than one couple’s story. I’ve seen plenty of fandoms who can take that. It’s only recently that I’ve seen under newer BL stories, specific BL readers have been extremely impatient and are whining 24/7 about not getting what they want. If you enjoy seeing people whine under comment sections, that’s you. I’m just expressing how odd it is that certain reader’s capacity of what they can handle reading is decreasing lately.

I’m saying it’s reasonable to want to see the main couple. You’re complaining that it’s annoying people only wanting to see the main couple. Yes, we are arguing opposite sides of the same argument and I’m pretty sure that was the point.
I do agree that it’s only one chapter, but people are probably used to stories that suddenly move to a second couple for an entire season and that’s why they’re complaining kinda quickly.
I don’t enjoy seeing people whine, but I can respect their opinions/preferences still. I find it ironic that you’re complaining about readers “whining” about something so basic. You say it as if they’re being nitpicky, but no, it’s just them wanting what the summary described.
Also, literally readers complaining about a different perspective has been happening for forever because this is a simple preference. PJO with The Lost Hero for example, a ton of people complained about Percy absolutely disappearing from the story and a whole new cast. And that story was old, like 2010s, plus mainstream. 19 Days also, only the side couple ended up being much more popular than the main couple. Some people still comment wanting more content for the main couple, which is reasonable even if I actually like the side couple more for once.

What you don’t seem to get is that I don’t give a single crap about anyone liking the second couple or liking the main couple. Every reader can dislike or like a couple however they want. My main issue is with SPECIFIC READERS who whine like babies or rage like they have anger issues over supporting characters appearing. The summary has the pink haired character IN IT. That pink haired dude is PART OF THE SUMMARY. They should have expected the POV of a different character other than their main couple.
Mind you think isn’t the only story that group of people has done it on. And example is Golden Pair. Where in the second season the second couple appears more. But guess what? The authors note blatantly said: “I want the main couple’s story to be in the first season and the second couple to be part of the story in the second season.” Yet the annoying ass crybabies chose to ignore that authors note and keep flooding the comments section with their whining. Do you not get that the same why you point out “people are used to stories that move on to 2nd couple” is the same logic as seeing multiple comment sections flooded with their complaints.
Genuinely why are you so bothered by me pointing out how whining is annoying as hell? You can go ahead and respect their opinions on your own timing. I don’t see why you have to be in so much defense when you’re not even the group of people I’m talking to. Do you not understand that thinking a certain group of people whining like babies is annoying, should also be respected? What you’re doing right now is contradicting yourself. You’re all about “respect opinions!” While you’re arguing with me and not respecting my thought of certain ppl. What you’re doing is literally welcoming people to whine more. Sorry I like more respectable audiences/readers who have the patience to read the entire story and not pick something to hate on every single chapter?? Is it not reasonable to want people to read the damn story and actually talk about the plot in depth rather than yap about how much they don’t want this or that?

And here to further break it down to you my point since you keep misunderstanding on your own:
If readers were like: “Oh I wish we could get finish the main couple’s story first and then have the 2nd couple’s story. Or maybe they put it in a new season or spin off. I like the main couple better. I like their dynamic better.”
I would be perfectly fine and wouldn’t care whatsoever. That sounds like chill comments and mature readers to me. However comments like the ones below saying:
“No one gives af about the 2nd couple! Why do they get a chapter!! 2nd couple gives us nothing!!! They’re irrelevant!! We only care about the main couple!!”
Now that’s all whining like babies. It’s annoying and just shows the lack of patience and capacity those readers can take about stories or plots in general. It’s these comments that are exhausting to see and I know authors think it’s annoying too, I’ve seen authors ruin their own stories from comments like this, pushing their story by readers complaints and rushing it, making the plot and characters a mess.

The summary mentioned pink-haired getting in the way of MC and ML, that’s not the same as him getting a separate POV and his own romance/story. If it were like the summary of Junjou Romantica where it describes the stories of three different couples, then that’s when readers should obviously expect multiple couples/stories. And the author’s note saying a new couple is gonna be introduced is again, not the same as a summary saying it. Readers were halfway through the story when they learned of a new couple versus starting a story knowing there’s another couple? I’ve read novels where the summary describes different stories too and most readers have no problem. It’s when new characters are suddenly sprung out after readers get attached to the first couple.
The reason why I replied to you wasn’t because you said you liked the second pair or that readers had to chill. I just don’t get why that suddenly lead to you saying people’s mind are deteriorating or that proves why people call bl readers gooners. That was the part I disagreed with, which is why my first reply focused on that. If you disagreed with first couple glazers, then go ahead and disagree. But why chalk it up to them being simple-minded or whatever? Also, there were like maybe 3-4 topics disliking the second couple and half of them acknowledged that the second couple wasn’t bad, it’s just that the timing seems off. And the story itself doesn’t have a deep plot bro, it’s basically whether you like this character or that character and their looks so far.
I like the second pair, I feel like there’s an increase of readers just being mad there’s more than one couple. Some of yall just gotta chillll. The pink haired dude was literally mentioned in the description, he’s another character whose pov is part of the story. I’m convinced reader’s minds are deteriorating and only able to handle love and sex of one pair- not thinking about anything else lmfao. They’re like “we wanna see sex and relationship of the main couple only!!” Just further establishes why other readers think BL readers are just gooners that can’t handle anything else about plots but relationships and sex.
