Preach! It’s the same old villainess formula who turned good after they regressed. The only difference is that she has a child and it’s in her pov. And while it’s not easy to forgive her past actions we cannot not acknowledge her efforts. Seriously, this is why authors don’t make efforts into making complex/nuanced characters because people aren’t patient enough for a good character development.

Once again you missed the entire point; the whole point of my comment was to get people to stop hating on Lydia as a character. She’s actually a really well written example of someone who did terrible things in the past but then chose to grow and become a better person. Nobody is excusing her abuse of Lyrica or saying she was a good mom
But you need to understand that a character can be both deeply flawed and still develop into something more. It doesn’t mean what she did was forgivable, it just makes her more realistic. Lydia is usually portrayed almost like a “perfect” character, and this shows that even people who seem perfect can be just as flawed as anyone else. Its not THAT hard to understand

Calling me an abuse defender WHEN I WAS LITERALLY AN ABUSE SURVIVOR. Get your stick up your ass you weirdo. You can’t even comprehend shit when it’s already given to you by everyone. If something happened to you as well in your childhood then why the fuck are you here arguing with everyone when you could’ve just closed the tab in the first place?

saying I'm fucking up, or that i must've had some shit done to me in my childhood rlly doesn't prove your fucking point. I'm triggered by the fact that people are rlly out here defending abusers under the claim that she's gonna "be better", honestly this whole argument says more shit about you than me. Stop commenting and go to therapy loser
Y'all are genuinely doing the most when it comes to Lydia it's been 95 chapters and y'all are still complaining, just stop reading atp. Like I get it, she was a horrible person but my god can y'all just enjoy the story without bashing her every chapter. Mind you if Lydia was the main character y'all wouldn't be doing all this, not to mention she's actively working to be a better person and has said countless times how much she regrets her past life and acknowledges that she WAS a terrible person, like what more do y'all want.
