You said it as it was clearly stated not as if it was your opinion, and it was not. In the novel the previous Lloyd was reincarnated and named Kim SuHo coincidentally but it was in another family, they just shared names.
The friend is just the friend and there is nothing more about it.
By the end of the novel, there was no secret to reveal
