I think the "whose daughter she is" thing you mentioned is just the dad being a doting parent. He just thinks she is so cute that he couldn't believe she is his own daughter. I think is is said in a doting/joking way.

Funny thoughts aside, i have a feeling things are going to get weirder. (in that mall arc, a-young's father once said "i dont know whose daughter she is, but she a must protect" well something like that, does that mean all those parents are not really their biological parents? Did just popped out, and the parents got chosen to take care of them? Or maybe that's a mistranslation)
