tbf he was a literal kid when he made these decisions. Not much mature thinking going on, that then turned into him growing up and adulting with the consequences of his stupid actions. He's a very heroic type of guy, the ones who just dive in to a situation to help or save someone without thinking.
so in case im forgetting something (SPOILERS JUST IN CASE)
mincheol fell for her in highschool, was involved with not great ppl like the 'friend' here who werent actually for him at all,, abandons his family and education to get involved with worse ppl for money he cant pay back to build a life hes not mentallyemotionally financially ready for nor does he fully understand, and after the consequences of all these actions catch up to him, he pushes said consequences onto her and starts resenting her for doing the work he couldn't and or wouldnt do himself to try and take care of things, resentment turns into delusion that bcuz all the consequences r now technically shared between them and hes worn her down as much as the circumstances, she'll never leave him as they r bonded and no matter the misery they will always have each other bcuz thats wat he gave everything up for and she should be grateful he still wants that bond. he also cheats on her bcuz of said resentment and delusions, blames and then abandons her for his actions, and is now upset that she is not only not holding onto their bond the way he is and moving forward to deal with the circumstances of his choices, but shes got a new guy who might make her happier than he ever did even with all the choices he made of his own unprompted volition? IN WHAT WORLD DOES THIS MAN LIVE IN THAT ANY OF THIS IS REASONABLE THINKING OR MATURE CHOICES?!??!
