Its normalized because tons of bl manhwas/mangas has rape in it. People who have no common sense & especially the younger audience will become desensitized to this issue in reality or worse, they might think its ok to do the deed since the “ukes” seemingly enjoy it & “tops” having no real consequences for their actions.
this is a big one that NOBODY wants to understand when you’re arguing them about rape in some stories. it’s not realistic at all with how he reacts, and the other person saying it’s not becoming normalized when literally 99% of this site is full of rape plots that some have become popular nationwide. i absolutely fucking hate it when people read rape fetishizing stories and then deny there was ever rape or even deny the reason they are slobbing the knob of the rapist in the story. i did read this through and there is rape in almost every chapter such poor taste bro

That's why this manhwa is rated 18+, young kids SHOULD NOT BE READING THIS, because adults KNOW this is a BAD thing to do. Also as long as you're able to differentiate FICTION from REALITY it's not fetishization. Fetishization occurs when you reduce a REAL LIFE person to a sexual object, this cannot be applied to FICTIONAL character, because they're NOT REAL.
Also 99% of this site has rape stories? That couldn't be farther from the truth. If you want I can give several recommendations of stories that don't involve these elements.
I feel that reducing the story to just rape and meaningless does a lot of disservice to the author and to your reading comprehension. The king's actions has never been shown to be good. Sam-myeong does not enjoy any of these acts. Therefore it does not fall into the category of romanticization. From what I've seen, from other readers of this story, they like it because of the King and Sam-myeong's dynamic of trying to get what they want, a social experiment that doesn't affect the real world in any way. None of these people (who are full grown adults) have romantized any of the toxic elements in any way.
it just doesn’t seem that way lmfao. almost every chapter has some sort of sa on the character when it’s not even needed and that’s where the word fetishize comes from for me. and now we’re getting the cliché bad backstory?? girl absolutely nothing about this story is complex at all and you can’t sit here and tell me the author is trying to write some sort of masterpiece when it fits the description of every other story that people romanticized for the rape and abuse.
