NO I AGREE BRO

I think it's the way the ENTIRE premise of 'GENTLE forest' is that Aiden is supposed to be the embodiment of a green flag and some kind of ticket to freedom (a normal illness-free life) for Seowon, but to me, he's WAY too obsessive and sex-crazed to be one. He comes across as inconsiderate and selfish when the writers are trying SO hard to make it seem the opposite.

LIKE YES CHRONICALLY ILL PEOPLE CAN HAVE SEX, BUT THIS IS JUST TOO MUCH FOR A PROTAGONIST WHO IS LITERALLY STRUGGLING TO BREATHE EVERY FEW MINUTES AND SOMETIMES ENDS UP ON A VENTILATOR??? EVEN FOR NORMAL PEOPLE THIS MUCH SEX WOULD BE A LOT, ESPECIALLY SINCE AIDEN TENDS TO BE ROUGH AND PUSHY

It doesn't even seem like Aiden really cares about the baby, like bro even said "kids grow up fine on their own" ??? Like in the most recent chapter, its clear he cares about his daughter and intends to raise her with love, but the writer's decisions just throw me off. Like why did they make him say that and make him seem like he was intending to be a neglectful parent or smth

On top of that, I know they weren't aware that Seowon was able to get pregnant, but it's just SO CRAZY to me that they didn't use a condom. Like even WITHOUT the risk of pregnancy... STDs AND STIs EXIST LIKE SEOWON IS ALREADY SO ILL WHAT WERE THEY GOING TO DO IF HE GOT AN STD??? Is THAT why they introduced mpreg???

Sorry for the long rant lol but there's just so much wrong with the writing of this manhwa. STILL CUTE, but could've been written better.

Tbf to the sti, Aiden probably thought (correctly) Seowon was a virgin.

Seowon didn't think Aiden was one since he was a jock (obviously we the audience know he is psycho for Seowon and thus a virgin too). However, considering he didn't know he had a functioning womb, I'm betting his father didn't teach him shit about sex ed.

Aiden is hot in a fantasy sort of way for any young gay bottom. But IRL, this would end in a murder suicide as the possible scenario. Not it doesn't matter how mythical this guy looks and how much money he has, gays, straight ladies, bis, and other queer dearies keep him in your dreams.

I agree Aiden was weird form the get go and was also giving BIG groomer vibes especially cause seowon is so isolated and Alone. Throughout the whole thing he was doing basic groomer things like “oh I’m gonna burden you with a weird secret” and “I’m gonna keep touching and saying weird things while convincing you it’s normal” and on top of that “I’ve wanted to sleep with you since I met you at 8 years old” like WHATTTTT? And I know he got pictures and stuff of him growing up but he said that while having flashbacks of him as a kid. I’m not shocked he would be so hyper sexual and not care much about a Condom cause a groomer isn’t gonna think of that especially when they’re able to catch you in the moment.
