I have a theory, which I’m betting money on and it is:
While choosing not to go to college in order to move in with and live his life with Haesoo seemed like a good idea at the time (young and dumb lol), I’m assuming that at some point he began to resent her because of the choices he made for her (literally not her fault, she even told him). After their life together went downhill with the debt collectors and potential loss of a child, he probably realized that he could’ve had a better life if he went to college and chose the rich girl instead of Haesoo like his friends were telling him to do so. If your life is already shit, it’s not hard to spiral into resentment. Just an assumption, but it would make sense as to why he’d cling to Ari after everything that we’ve seen so far. She checks off all the boxes, rich, young, and educated. He could’ve had all of that himself, but he chose Haesoo and so in conclusion he resents her for his own choices and essentially dragged her into the mess of his own making.

If I might add, he’s also the type of person to blame everyone else but himself, so of course he’d grow to Haesoo and blame her for their shitty situation when in reality it was his idea.

I'm gonna be the depressing grown-up for a minute. It happens too often. Money issues are a super common cause of divorce, even if when Mincheol and Haesu legally divorced they "planned to remarry."

I still hate that he used to be so kind and optimistic before long hours at a job he hates, a long commute home, and his wife working all the hours she can at her various jobs all piled up and pulled them apart.

    There's a reason it's called "crushing debt."
