Ok I will try to write as much as I could remember anout the overall plot but I may not get all details exactly right since it was quite some time ago.

So we already know that MC and ML have been exchanged during birth, and that MC have regressed and lived his 2nd life. MC had a bad personality during the first life because he was raised to be a spoiled brat. So in the 2nd life he wanted to fix his life and live quietly away from the noble life, however his birth mother wants to manipulate him because she wants the riches. A lot of bad things happen because of the secrets, MC tries his best to bury all secrets while keeping ML in the dark. MC pushes ML away and MC surrounds himself with new people he thinks could help him in the future to get away from noble life. Meanwhile ML grows to be a strong warrior admired by everyone. They go to the same school but although they started really close, they eventually drift apart. Still, ML pines for MC. ML's adoptive dad (MC's mom's husband but not MC's dad) dies in one altercation when the dad discovers all the lies that the mom has been spinning. MC tries to bury that because he wants no ties to the woman, he orders to cut off her tongue and sends her to a convent to spend the rest of her life there. ML doesn't care about the mom coz he was never loved due to not being the woman's real son, but he loved his adoptive dad. He suspected that MC had something to do with the death of his dad, but because of his love and devotion to MC he's actually willing to turn a blind eye just to stay beside MC. I can't remember some of the details but I kinda remember there being a prince (or emperor, not sure), the prince wants ML to swear his fealty to him on account of being very strong knight, but he refuses coz he only wants to be MC's knight. Some more politics and war happens (sorry I'm just breezing through) but in the end MC and ML do end up together. I remember feeling that ML got a bit twisted coz of his love, and MC knowingly used ML's love for him as a weapon multiple times. It was a story that intrigued me because if you think about each person's motivations and consider their inner thoughts, you'd think that no one is in the wrong, but you'd see that all decisions have consequences and MC's desire to change the past has started a new chain of events that may or may not be the best course of action for each person. It was a good read, easy 9/10 for me.

Wow even if we ignore the first life. TheL is being too much of a pathetic doormat in the second life. It seems the MC doesn't even care about ML that much. As expected he's utterly selfish and probably doesn't feel much guilt for all he's done to the ML in previous life. Did he do anything to atone for his past or help the ML this time? Like giving him him position back or helping him or being apologetic? If not and the ML still pines...it feels like crap. I know ML might not remember anything so his "love" is brand new...but to constantly chase someone who pushed u, letting yourself be used and TURNING A BLIND EYE to your loving father's death just because of SUCH a person? How is that indifferent person more imp to u than your good father? Rubs the wrong way. ML gives me the creeps here. To become like that for someone who just blushed a bit after seeing him in their childhood.....

Also the MC after being a piece of trash last life still dares to bring himself to USE ML,? How low can he get? It was ML who spared MC the humiliation of guillotine n gave him a painless death..mercy. Really it seems like MC has toned down but he still is quite similar. I'm sorry but if I get to know that he used ML's feelings in this life, then he's still trash. Is he really still that apathetic?

Nah I skipped a lot but the point is that MC pushed ML away because he really just wants peace in his life. In the beginning he believed that if he gets to entangled with ML he won't get a better life. Then ML still pursues him, I can't remember exactly when or how but the attraction does become mutual, but ML does love MC more than MC love ML. Then they become accomplices, they plot together and plan for their mutual success, and I mentioned that ML wants to swear fealty to MC but also MC is quite possessive and protective about him once their feelings become mutual. It's really a long road going there and the entire story happens in the span of like 10 years or so that's why I said it's a slow burn.

Don't judge without knowing the full story because really, the novel was well-written. I don't know if the manwha will be able to adapt it well though, but I do hope so.

I see I naturally only judged by the spoiler, i obviously don't know the full story only the spoiler. But really, at first, does the MC feel guilty or remorseful ? Does he try to atone in anyway? Coz by what you're saying it feels like he just cares about having a better and peaceful life and not address his actions of the past at all. And is he more possessive and less loving towards ML or is he just bad at expressing it? And you said he uses the ML but then they plot together? So is he using the ML or are they using each other working together?

Are you asking because you want to get spoiled before you read the story? Because it's really worth it to experience everything yourself. But if you don't care about spoilers then read further.









To answer all your questions, as far as I remember in the beginning MC was really just thinking about himself, he did care about ML to an extent but he cared about himself first and foremost. When their feelings became mutual, since he's the one in a position of power (he's a noble vs ML a commoner), he protects ML by wielding his political power. His past actions really don't have any bearing on the 2nd life anymore, because he worked hard to do better. When I say he wants to have a better life, I meant that he doesn't want to do bad things like how it was in his 1st life. So I'd say he reformed. It's just that, before their feelings became mutual, ML was not a priority in his life, on the other hand ML's number 1 priority has always been MC ever since. MC did start put using ML since ML was head over heels in love, but when everything came to light and MC told him about everything he was planning, ML took his side and swore that he will help MC achieve everything he wants to achieve.

I hate spoiling like this because I think I'm taking away the joy of experiencing how their journey evolved, but since you asked then here it is. Read the novel if you're really interested.

No i prefer to get spoiled about plots I'm feeling iffy about so no worries. Thank you for the spoilers. I genuinely wanted to know. I get it, it's also not practical to expect the MC to totally become a nice person just because he regressed in time. I'm glad he reforms himself though. Maybe it's not much my cup of tea coz I don't really enjoy unequal (love) relationships, if that makes sense. It's just me. I just genuinely don't understand how and why the ML would fall that deep for someone like MC. Maybe some people are just like that. People love for no reason and it makes them act silly. Maybe he has a certain image of the MC in his memory or by experience.? It makes sense for him to put MC as one of his priorities as he's the one who fell first and harder.

To be honest, I did think that their relationship was too unequal. To be fair, MC did want to return the duchy to ML (if I'm remembering right, ML was the son of a duke) that's why he was carefully planning every step so as not to become destitute and to have protection even when it comes to light that he's not really the rightful heir. But ML was the one who says he doesn't care about any of that, just being beside MC is enough for him. ML was a tad too obsessive lol. Even if I don't agree about that, I think there's still something to be said about wanting something (or someone) so much that you singlemindedly make it your life's purpose that I can admire despite it all.

Yep their relationship feels too unequal. I too don't agree with how obsessive the ML becomes lol, almost blind to anything else. But there's actually plenty of stories like this...around. I actually enjoy many obsessive MLs and MCs but this particular trope and the background of it........I'm just less tolerant towards the theme. So, I'm glad you were here with the spoilers haha. Hi ! Thank you for the spoilers ! It got me more intrigued and have started to read the novel as well. I do have a question, does Kasper also fall for Hailen/MC ? Cos he’s always described as angelic, beautiful so I was wondering if he’s also going to develop feelings for MC. I believe ML fell for the MC at first sight right ?

To be direct, everyone falls for him haha. I think part of it is because he's seen as everyone's patron and savior. But it's really really obvious that Hailen is not gonna fall for anyone except Gailront, and he even does not have anyone else in his radar.
