I think it’s up to the readers to decide. You’ve got a few options.
1) Alternate world/reality.
2) Dream world from suicide/death/coma.
3) Game world (Altho since he no longer has the notifications idk if it applies anymore.)
So is he living in a dream world now? Did some of the other characters enter the world with the same purpose and knowledge that it’s a dream/game world? What happened to the mc’s body in the real world? There are so many unanswered questions.
