I agree completely with you! I had low expectations as well but so far I'm enjoying it. i hope they start focusing on setagawa and kousuke's storyline soon!
I have to agree with you although i dont like sometimes where they abruptly change into the other story. (They go from the Hitorijime Boyfriend into the Hitorijime Hero storyline.) I also prefer Hasekuras personality in the anime so far hes not that possesive or jealous although i dont like him in general xD (I hate pushing people/characters in general) From Hitorijime Hero i really enjoy both characters and story ,Masahiro my babes so cute (づ￣ ³￣)づ And i want the Hitorijime Boyfriend storyline to finally finish so i can enjoy my Masahiros love story <3
I comepletely agree with you! I like how they combined the two stories together. I don't have an issue with the title since for me, even though Hitorijime Boyfriend came first, Hasekura and Kensuke are more of an side story. :v And the episode 2 is focused more on Kensuke and Hasekura so it's well balanced... although I'd reallt hate it if they would suddenly rush everything when it's time for My Hero's story...
I'm not a critic so I think my opinion is irrelevant but I'm pretty happy that they changed the story in the anime release. Although the manga is very sweet and cute it has a lot of pacing issues that I don't think would adjust well at all in the adaption. I had pretty low expectations of the anime because I assumed it would be similar to the manga but to my surprise they changed a few things around and it was a lot easier to digest.
