He prolly needs money for something, maybe a daughter or someone sick in the family, why else would he go out of his way to hire a care taker for Linda? He prolly sympathize with her and wanted to help her out until he got killed. He then began thinking that all of this was Noah's family's fault and he also said Cain killed him? So this is his act of revenge, I don't fully believe he's on the serial killer's side tho
Dont get why Garrick would work with the killer after becoming a ghost? He said he needs money but he’s dead, what would he need it for, and he obviously knows that the guy killed him. And it also shows that he doesn’t like murdering people.
