I feel so bad about this manwha turning into shit because it doesn't give the orig novel any justice, tho the art is kinda ok. Sad. I gave up on this a long time ago but I occasionally go back to look at the comments to see whether it turned out ok. But seeing as there's no change, I think many people would appreciate the original story more.

Pretty sure it's not. In the novel he wasn't really that hot-headed. He had strong opinions but he argued for them in a level-headed manner. The most he acted out was during his rut, he's more outspoken and impulsive when having sex coz of course rut. In normal conversation he's quite brilliant. He left both the emperor and empress soeechless after a verbal spar in multiple separate occasions. I've commented this before in a previous post, Rishar is a brilliant general and a war hero, he's on par with Etienne in terms of intellect and ability, it's just that his forte is war strategies while Etienne's is politics due to his mother's influence. He's not a bratty kid who throws tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants. And also Etienne is not a powerless damsel in distress haha. I suggest you read the novel if you want a more satisfying story.

Thank you! I'm fully convinced to go read the novel now as I love intellectually brilliant written characters. I read before the other novel written by the same author and it was amazing as well.
