Yeah we didn't see it coming. This is a slice of life wholesome manga. It is not our fault that author decided to change the gener midway through the series

I followed this since day one thinking it was cute animals manhua and i suspected this scenario the moment i saw potato all grown up
Adult potato is sus for sure, but I always defended it because kids raised in isolation will get emotionally attached to the nearest person (flowers in the attic) whether they are related or not. Small potato was severely codependent on his mama and it extended to his grown up personality. But actually kissing is where I draw a line.
While I truly hope this is just for giggles and won't actually be a real ship in this, as an early reader I don't understand how people didn't see this coming? Like, maybe we're just seasoned veterans who went through BL minefields and clock the signs of certain tropes? Me personally I'm here for blue and yellow BL and found family, but I won't be shocked if the author goes in a weird direction with adult potato - as much as I hope she won't (;ÅīšÅ)
