ngl this is true but its kinda funny cuz smut was always and is written for women
Yesss, smut books and novels, bodice rippers, historical romance, dark romance, etc etc, I’m mainly talking about smutty manga, there haven’t been a lot until recently and they’re all really bad. As it has been the last couple of years, any work that was spicy was for men (hentai, harem, etc) and they’re all also pretty bad but it was misogynistic slim pickings for the women (why do they think women want to read that shit). Still really bad but more bad options I guess?
I am pleased that the authors now realise that the women crave smut too but damn, the stories and characters are all so badly written
