I went through a lot of the novel updates reviews and couldnt get clarity on it. On one hand people were saying it was realistic and a good depiction of that time, on another hand i feel it might be too draining to check it out for myself. A good amount of people were criticizing the male lead but even a bigger amount of people were criticizing the fl. Whether whos to blame i still cant get a good grip on it and i dont know if itll truly be a satisfying read if its frustrating because of both parties

The fl is sadly walked like a dog and not very much listened to. But she is not responsible because I fear it's a lot of fear response and the author being set on making her come back to the idiot ml.
The ml on other hand is a selfish bitch who make everything about him. He act like the fl left him after knocking him up even through she went to jail so his sister didn't have to. He didn't visit her once in jail and now his being very condescending and ridiculing the people who saved the fl and took care of her. Also making fun on how she live after he left her with nothing.
He is a rich privileged bra who can't handle that not everything will go his way.
There is the trauma from war but a lot of everything steam from him being very self centered and born filthy rich without any other thoughts in mind.
He see everyone else as inferior and dumber than him. (Even before he went to war)
So tbh it's more like the fl got Stockholm syndrome and the ml can't handle a no.
Update me guys when they get to the redemption point of the story
