I also think the SA is unnecessary but I think the "accepting" scene made sense. When you're in a state where you can't make a choice between silence and passion, I think it's hard to make a conscious decision, hence why he took the time to process. Makes a lot of sense
God I hate these tropes. I get it if it was just a processing state when that groomer went close to kiss him, and then he pushed that groomer away. But then he stayed with him, just to think?

I’m having a hard time understanding why he stayed with the groomer at an Inn, just for him to realize so quickly. Uuugh I think it just felt rushed so I was confused when he just decided to go to Hayato after it seemed like he accepted that Groomer.

Chapter 10 is SO weird because if the goal was to make Ren reject the manager, why even show him "accepting" the manager? He has been shown to have moved on from the manager so that moment of vulnerability seems really unnecessary in this stage of their relationship.
