The fact that Noah and the others took advantage of her kindness makes it even more aching. She's there for him, loving him even though his heart was still longing for his dead fiancee. She was there for the kids as a mother figure figure genuinely. Everything went well in their 6 years together as a family. What actually ruined the relationship is Noah. And we can all agree to that. Even after all the times they spent together, he still hasn't learned or figure a single shit about/for himself as an individual who has a so called 'family'. Sure, he provides here and there, take them out to travel, vacations, that's a bonus. But about how his character was displayed when their child is sick, bro literally turned a blind eye to almost everyone, including River and would turn her words against her. Like, broooooo. He makes my blood boil. I pity him before, but, him only realizing how important she is in his life the moment she's gone is just- I don't know. For damn sure, I ached so bad for River. He only lost his lover, pretty heavy, sure. But, River? River's past? Holy shit- I hope River would rather be a single mom. I don't want her to be in a relationship with someone (No hate, guys. It's my opinion, so, don't take it to heart about your judgement about my opinion).
