It's just I find that there's too much stress with the competition arcs.. Like I'd rather them have music chart competitions now instead of another cutthroat, backstabbing, evil editing, favoritism, pre-selected winners, competition that we already went through for this webtoon.

It's not a mistake but season 2 of the competition comes later in the story. I read the novel long time ago so I actually don't remember when exactly but for sure not now or anytime soon. There will be normal group activities, bonding time, variety show, solo work, new characters too. And only after that will be the competition again.
