I mean, I really liked Rian’s character in the main story so I will keep reading too but saying that the rape scene doesn’t bother you because it was “psychological” and they are on “equal footing” is wild. It was very much physical, he slammed his cock in with no regard for his well being and even took a note of how MC wasn’t enjoying it at all because of the pain (not that he could have enjoyed it in the first place) - how is that psychological? And one of them got drugged so he was by no means on equal footing in this situation. Ultimately, yeah, it’s fiction, a lot of us will keep reading it and probably enjoy their later relationship dynamic trying to forget that the rape ever happened but come on, let’s not try to brush it off and demean it.
I think the reason the r*pe scene doesn’t bother me here is because it’s more psychological and they’re pretty much on equal footing in ability and intellect. It’s well done for their dynamic. If it’s not your cup of tea, that’s fine! But so far I’m enjoying this story a lot. Because at the end of the day it’s all fiction!!
