finished now! as i had already believed from the first half, this is packed with a nice assortment of fluff and mild angst - particularly with the second couple, which is a little heavier, but done in a..lighter way? plus i liked how all the coworker side characters were friendly, and a little less like background props. it felt as if there was a tad more engagement with the social aspect of a work environment even though that wasn't important or relevant to the stories, nor were they all that prominent in the manhwa as a whole either. anyway, overall a cute read ^-^
if i had to choose, i'd say i did enjoy the second couple more, but that's really just a preference rather than a portrayal issue. however.. i WILL say, i did prefer how the family was handled in the second couple's story over the first. not that that one was bad, it just ended up following some typical familial expectations despite still pulling somewhat away from such. kinda like a compromise, i suppose, though the way it was done i don't think was as in keeping with the character's wishes and feelings, to be honest. nor what seemed to be a theme amongst the all main characters either - not being/doing what you think you have to be/do because of someone else and finding happiness in your own life and choices outside that. but, again, not bad! simply my two cents nitpick is all.
okay, so i have to vent this completely stupid hang up. warning, as stated, this is indeed very stupid.

despite the cute, light read of all the everything thus far, i was unexpectedly bulldozed in the final inning of the main couple's story by fashion 'whats' and 'whys' and 'how could yous'. firstly, to get it out of the way, i feel the veil on youngwoon really didn't fit - if you're going to have one make it cohesive! the design worked alright with his features i suppose but its presence overall did not; also, how is that even staying on his head? but mostly i agonized, WHY on EARTH did they choose THAT suit!?!? (╯• Д •)╯╧╧ that was the worst one by far of all the options they showed him trying on!! (a ribbon bowtie and cummerbund? REALLY?!??). it did not suit him at all; not aesthetically or physically. wedding aside, i didn't think the maid dress suited him either. the design just did nothing for him and likewise didn't complement his features at all. i get the author likely wanted to have the long skirt for certain scenes, and that's whatever, fine, it was really the top half that was the worst. some people can totally rock the small bow(tie)s, and some cannot. youngwoon is the later. i gotta say too, for a person who seemed to handle design work to some capacity, gyujin isn't very good at it; his own wedding attire was bland and basic after all T - T
in the end i know this is all my own preferences and opinion inexplicably boiling over and there are going to be people who couldn't care less or even wholly disagree, but i just had shove this out of my head. i honestly don't know why i got so tangled up about those completely irrelevant things that don't mean anything in regards to the story nor my feelings about said story, but ugh! it just bugged me so much i couldn't stop thinking about it. i couldn't even focus on the christmas smut because of that maid outfit either!
anyway... since i just now started in to what is apparently the second couple's story i wanted to get past this peeve so i could focus on them and not have all this rattling around like dissonant background music jarringly ill-suited to the narrative in front of me...
if anyone happens to agree with my raving, then i'm glad to have a comrade in woes. if not and you think i'm nuts, that's fair...i clearly am. i mean, just look at the length of this comment over such a nothing point? stupid ┗( T__T )┛
