To be honest, I hope so. Luke knows nothing about how gay relationship works and how the world view them, and having someone who openly gay may help him to learn to be more sure (especially since apparently the guy dropped acting because he was gay), and that Andrew would learn to take more space and express himself. And also to accept that it's normal to be jealous
