I get Andrew. I was confident with my first queer relationship, too, until a highschool former close friend said they saw my stories with my "workmate" (she was not my workmate ever lmao) and I just agreed. I never thought of "coming out" ,fortunately, since I've always done what I want and what I believe in. And I always believed that hiding or not coming out to strangers and people you don't like is totally fine. Or even if you just don't feel like it. Whatever makes you safe is better, especially in Asia.
Andrew is strong-willed and kind, he will eventually figure out a way to make peace with that feeling without jeopardizing their relationship, and settle on a compromise or do what he decides on.
