Maybe, but you can develop freckles later. You might not necessarily have them as a kid, as they do not onset at birth.
Putting hereditary freckles aside, most skin issues like pimples typically develop during late adolescence though, due to hormones, sun damage or lack of self care so it's not entirely out of line.
I considered that (having a few freckles myself) but looking at how even the first chapter, her freckles came in and out of existence, it's probably not intentional... Thank you for pointing it out though. I think I'm just mad that part of her being 'ugly' was because she had freckles, or atleast she viewed herself ugly because of them. I wish she kept them
Yeahh understandable...I think it would be more sensible if they'd just called them pimples instead of freckles since those are naturally more inconsistent XD
Even the artist forgot that Belle has freckles because apparently young Belle doesn't have them either?? Convinced that girl was drawing them on the whole ass time just so that when she had a glowup it would seem like something changed about her, whereas actually nothing did and she was pretty the whole time ig (except confidence + the whole kidnapping thang )
