It doesn't look like it is gonna end in a cliffhanger. The white haired guy who became the ML's guide seems to be defecting to their side. He will likely help in bringing down the doctor by exposing his secrets. The ML is sticking to MC after reading all about their memories together. The MC is worried bc the ML isn't getting guiding from anyone as he is refusing to be anywhere near the white haired dude. And it looks like it's reaching the climax soon.
