Me, personally, don't care what kind of words other said about a fictional character in a spurt of a moment. Be it bc they hate the character's action, they hate their design, or just based on feelings(?) Whatever the point is, there's sooo many real life problems out there that we as a society can and should focus on instead of fighting for the right of a fictional character who doesn't even exist nor would ever understand the concept of real life human words.
I do understand your point of 'becoming the norms' but that's... Up to each of their own, no? I'll just take myself as an example, in the internet and rl me and my bestfriend would cuss at each other, we call each other bitch be it just for laugh or when we get on a heated debate. But, I'd never use that kind of words to my mom/someone I personally respect in way that I have boundary. "Not everyone have boundary" I could never control that, sorry. What can I do then? I could only control what I can. If I see someone rudely call someone else bitch unreservedly/with malicious intent, if it's on the internet? Block, if it's in rl? I'd try my best to distance myself from them. It's as easy as that. I could never control what others said or type(in this case) so I just feel like... It's kinda pointless(policing others what can/can't they say about a fictional character) imo...
That bitch had it coming I understand she's desperate but she still deserves it
