I think these stories are all a by-product of misogyny and just the way women in Asian counties are inherently brought up. A male can be violent, friendly, eccentric, ugly. Yet the same standard isn't applicable for women. Females must be perfect, otherwise they will be shamed. Those beliefs make teen-age girls self-insert themselves into perfect MCs with zero character flaw, where the only interesting aspect of her is their romance with a man, not her personality.

I freaking love her, i know alot of people hate her because of her attitude for commoners but i actually like that about her, because she's fr the only fl mc I've seen that actually have a character flaw, all fl mc I've seen their only character flaw are "she's too nice" "she's naive" like bruh that's not a character flaw.
So seeing this mc having a character flaw that's actually a flaw is great because it makes me wanna watch how she will change as time go on, i actually have a reason to watch her, cute.
Only thing I wanna see is more personality for ml because rn the only thing ik about him is that he was a commoner and he like mc.
