
the point of the beginning of the story is to show she was also just a child, forced to step into a role that made her seem much older to protect the children. They actually don’t have a crazy age gap, they’re pretty close in age :)
she had to make herself seem older to be recognized as capable, but it’s not reflective of her actual age. she had to grow up fast, plus she lived that other life, so she may seem older but she isnt.
even in her past life nora loved her, so i feel this is a perfect endgame tbh

Bffr they were both children, this “crazy age gap” is at max 2 years apart cause at the start of the story Shuri was 16 when Nora was 14 and don’t start with that mental age shit cause they haven’t acted on their feelings plus she still died young regardless she died at 23 she only gets with him when they’re both adults
