Ngl I love this but, when is he going to get consequences, it seems like he’s using every past life to his advantage, he gets everything handed to him, and everyone around him accepts it, it’s kinda weird seeing no jealousy, or at least some predjuice.

    Spoiler:

To be honest this is a pretty wholesome fic where he is super op so he doesn't really face many consequences. And the two that I can remember is the first where he gives an interview about why he became an actor. And a druggie who used to be an actor thought it was about him and caused a scene. The other is all the way at chapter 1000 where he is sent into a coma and basically battles with the abilities of his past lives.

Wait, why would he get consequences for using something that’s in nightly him I’m confused. He earned all those things. he went through all those lives. He died a bunch of times so yeah. I think he deserves to use them if they’re part of yourself also, this is meant to be wholesome like a lot of people say.

Wait I'm confused the mc literally got killed every single of past lives?? Those aren't consequences???

Yes he did get killed in his past lives but again, those are his past life’s. Just like how he became a murder in one and a saint in another one there’s no consequences. He became a slime, and he died, that’s not a consequence. It would make more sense if he was rewarded for his good deeds in his past lives but he isn’t perfect nor was he always good.

Yeah, like why would they even be considered consequences when he actually lived a long time and and he did have evil lives he got consequences for his actions, which were death and he understands that those things were bad in his current life because he also has all his good life that he died doing something heroic

What I’m trying to say is that he shouldn’t have everything handed to him for free in every situation. I understand that he earned those abilities through his past lives, but those were his past lives — they shouldn’t define his current one or his present character. Yes, he’s grown from those experiences since he even called some of them cringy and expressed regret, but he’s also a completely different person now because of everything he’s been through.

Also, I don’t think death should be treated as a punishment. No offense, but for some people, death can actually be a form of salvation, so it doesn’t really work as a consequence. And if he died heroically multiple times, shouldn’t that limit him to using only heroic abilities rather than evil ones?

Another thing to consider is this: if someone else had the same abilities as him, wouldn’t that be unfair? They could just use any power they gained in a past life to easily overcome any situation, basically exploiting it without consequence. On top of that, his abilities aren’t fully explained and remain pretty vague, which only makes it feel more unbalanced.

I did see from another reply that he faces some kind of conflict in Chapter 100, but it’s strange that there aren’t more personal struggles, like jealousy, hatred, or envy, or even any real drawbacks to using his powers. And honestly, small “nerfs” that don’t actually affect anything don’t really count as consequences.

Death does not automatically mean punishment, in many cultures around the world death can be different things. Don’t forget that some of the MC’s death add to that. In some lives his death inspired many, or in other cases made others fear his return. Death can be salvation, or the end of something.

I don’t see it is unfair because you would never know in the end of the day you just think that he’s extremely freaking skilled you would never know and it wouldn’t be unfair, also there shouldn’t be any downsides or drawbacks as this is supposed to be a kind of slice of life type of situation. This is supposed to be very sweet and thunder and he’s supposed to be originally a very good person and it has to do a lot with the way that he’s raised and how fast he remembers his past lives. It looks like his original self is just good to begin with and usually when he ends up being non-human he remembers immediately so that’s why he’s always a good person or a good being in them, but it looks like when he’s more humanoid and he barely remembers anything resentment can build up depending on his surroundings
