Many readers lack empathy when it comes to complex and well-written villains. They quickly forgive and simp for characters like Taeju (and whoever else) bc of yaoi-logic character development, yet they are unable to do that for a character who is written realistically.
I mean, you can feel bad for him and hate him for what he did, you don't need to pick only one
I do feel horrible for him
But i also hate him for what he did
That's what complex characters are supposed to make you feel : empathy AND hate
I remember when I commented about 4 ch ago
That I understand his and have sympathy for him , man the hate and the attack I got , now I can see that I'm not alone and a lot are sad for him as I felt
