There’s just something about yaoi mangas that manhwas cannot have yk? I loved this manga so much, very lighthearted, sweet, and cute!

IKR? Manhwa can be really good, really spicy and all that fancy stuff but manga takes the cake with...things like this...that we don't know how to explain. Lol

i’ve also read countless manhwas, but with the art, pacing, story, and everything manga just takes the cake. idk i also can’t explain it, i just love bl manga more maybe because it is easy to read and they don’t drag it and put unnecessary scenes just for the plot to last long like in usual bl manhwas

Now that you put it like that, manga are like projects that were usually planned to the end (5-6 chapters and whatnot). So they don't tend to have fillers. Those that do, are serialized series, which we also don't get a lot in the bl genre. On the other hand, manhwa/webtoons are serialized by nature. Week by week. They do get planned ahead bc this is business but we all know they often drag out for reasons. Sometimes a good series gets axed, abandoned due to disagreement between author/artist/publishing company, etc.

But then again, serialized manga adapted from livht novels can and do get similar treatment as manhwa. It's just that it happens way less with bl at the very least, from what I've seen so far.

Still, this doesn't explain the difference between what it feels like reading a manga story like this and a manhwa. Ig it's cultural differences? Different authors from different cutures. Stories that would make it in its original target country(market) and whatnot.
